6-7 months an 1.5 years, that’s just crazy. If you want to be at pump audio, you sure have to be patient. Way back I decided not to list my music at pump audio, because of the very low commission.

I really need to get back into composing, but first I need a few more hours at my current job. Right now I’m juggling 3 jobs, so I need to get that sorted out. Then it’s back to composing music. Can’t even remember the last time I completed a track and uploaded it to pond5!

I have however made a few sales at Tune Fruit lately.

In reply to Frederic Bernard. I have now my music listed there after about 1.5 years from submission. and still I had to ask how to login because it say my account is not enabled! :-/

The waiting time at this library is actually really long (comparable to musicdealers.com) and can often take 6-7 months or even longer. Anyway, once you’ve got through all that the sales can be descent. Still the commission you have to pay is quite high.

The first song was “accepted” but now… read what i have just received:

If your music fits one of our current needs, your tracks will be accepted into our collection and made available for licensing on http://www.gettyimages.com/music. The next step is highly dependent on the following:
· The quality of your music in terms of production, suitability of placement, strength of performance, etc. We process the highest quality music first.
– The particular demand for the style of music you’ve submitted. For example, well-produced holiday music is always in need and therefore will often move to the front of the queue.
· Our current backlog. Due to the success of our worldwide sales force and online e-commerce system, we receive many tens of thousands of songs every year.

Consequently, it may take a number of months (currently averaging six months) to fully process your submission. If your music fits one of our needs we will then add your music to one of our music collections (for example, Pump Audio, SoundExpress) and place it online.

I have finally uploaded some song on pumpaudio/getty images.
the procedure was all online, i submitted several wav files… everything should be ok i think…
now the question: how long is the review process?
do you get any notification on sales?
