I just had my first sale at AudioJungle, very nice as I only have 9 tracks in my profile so far. As my first uploads was approved, and I can now upload 30 tracks a month.

I have decided to upload all of my music, as they now let you set the price. It is kind of a hassle to make previews and zip all files, but I think it is worth it. :-)

Hi. Sometimes they reject music because they have to much of that kind of music in the library. Often is has nothing to do with the quality, but the genre. I would not take their "poor commercial quality” to serious, probably its just a pre-written comment. :-)

Hello guys. I know this is an old post, but it nails EXACTLY the issue I have with AJ. I submitter 5 tracks for review. I wasn't worried because the tracks I submitted are of excellent quality and just great to listen to. REJECTED....lol. Something is wrong with this library, is all I can say. The reviewers are worthless because they let slip through as they please. Once I received an email that the song they rejected was "poor commercial quality" I knew then this was a site to steer clear of and pulled the rest of my songs. This song in particular, was mixed and mastered by a top engineer in Nashville and he loved the track. To say, I was extremely depressed for several days until I relistened to my tracks submitted and could find no faults, it's just an enjoyable song to hear. Obviously, AJ doesn't read to community boards or they would see there is a problem. Even their top artists like Pinkzebra has weak tracks but yet, they are pushing this guy. What I've heard on his site is just subpar music, nothing wrong with it, I like his stuff, but it's not better than a lot of music they reject, as I've went and listened to it. Pond 5, productiontrax and several others I'm a member of never treat their artists this way. Never will I have anything to do with Envato.

If you already have the music on AJ i would keep it. maybe switch to a non-exclusive profile.
i have the same music on different libraries and I sell on each of them. i don't think there is competition.
if you think there is competition just chose a different user name and different song names! :)

for example the same tracks are on AJ, pond5 and melodyloops.
AJ has now almost double sales with respect to P5 but they generate the same revenue. melodyloops is very slow but why i should rule out the possibilty to get some extra money? :)
if you already have the files, leave them online.
if you make any new song, upload also on AJ. it's not a huge effort...

AJ share is veeeeery low and now you also get the tax for US sales (not my case) but it's really the most active library. I must say i like and hate it (a lot) at the same time for these reasons... low revenue share but high sales and traffic...

After long consideration, I've decided to delete my music from AudioJungle. The fact that they take 67% of the income is just not justifiable in my opinion.

Sure they get a decent amount of sales and are great to start off and actually get some money for your music, but in the long run it's not worth it and just dickish to the composers in my opinion, since their work is being greatly undervalued. How can any marketing or hosting be worth 67% commission, seriously?

I guess, if you can get up to 70% revenue share (as an exclusive seller with over $75,000 (!) of total sales), it's okay, but I, personally, wouldn't want to solely commit to and rely on one marketplace for my whole library music income, especially with their random music rejections, or rather:
Quality standard based on the mood of the curator. I've had some of what I considered my best music to date (hard) rejected, while many of my older (and really shitty) tracks got approved without a problem.

The fact that they don't allow P.R.O. registered music doesn't help either, since it rules out any backend royalties to compensate for the ridiculous commission split.

The sense of community they have is great though.

In reply to <a href="https://eaglecinematics.com/audiojungle#comment-4171">Matteo</a>.

Yes Pond5 have always given me sales now and then without much effort on my part. Actually the most stable library I have signed up to.

At other libraries I rarely get any sales. Revostock was very good for me a few years back, but now I never get any sales. I do however seldom upload new tracks these days.

And most sites seem to factor in previous sales, so the more sales you have the better placements you will get in search - I totally agree with you in this aspect. :-)

Actually i've got quite regular sales on P5 (except at the end of december), about 1-3 a week.
mostly are SFX (2$!) or audiologo (15-20$).
I strongly suggest to upload a whole bunch of "interesting" SFX or short audiologo on P5. I think that the fact that i sold quite a lot of them increased my ranking (now i'm at 216 sales at P5).
someone in P5 forum says that the more sales you have the more high is your rank in the search engine... so the more you sell the more you will sell.
maybe i was just lucky but when i uploaded several SFX there was a period in which i had almost 1 sale/day. I feel that this helped me a lot for future sales!

i don't know about AJ. i think that here is the same: the more you sell the more high is your rank in the search engine. since end of december i was used to sell about 1 time every 1.5-2 days in average. this was quite consistent.
but in january sales almost stopped... and now they are really really low.
i came to the conclusion that there are no understandable patterns. I thought i had found one but i was obviously wrong! :-/
